Simone Manuel — Warrior Defined
Simone Manuel made history at Rio 2016 as the first African American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming. The TYR film was meant to feel like a short documentary — her drive, her identity, what “warrior” means on her terms — with the athlete doing the work rather than the brand narrating over her. Maggie Steffens — Olympic Water Polo Gold
Maggie Steffens is the most decorated water polo player in Olympic history. Shot for TYR during Paris 2024, the portrait had to find the person inside five Olympic campaigns instead of reciting the résumé. One-person crew at the Games.
Venzo
A :30 for TYR’s flagship competitive tech suit, built for two rooms: national television during Olympic coverage, and jumbotrons inside championship venues. TV rewards atmosphere; a venue screen has about three seconds against crowd noise and live swimming thirty feet away. This cut had to do both.
USA Water Polo
Sponsorship film for TYR’s USA Water Polo partnership — the sport distilled to physicality: body, water, contact, breath. Same athlete-forward tone as the rest of the series.
