GoDaddy: Get Online

Written, directed, shot, and edited solo — a 30-second film about Badlands Booker that won GoDaddy's Get Online contest and broadcast nationally during the Indianapolis 500.

GoDaddy ran a nationwide contest: submit a 30-second film about getting a small business online. The winner would broadcast during the Indianapolis 500 — one of the most-watched sporting events in the country.

The subject was Badlands Booker — a blues musician with decades of history and no web presence. The film treated him the way he deserved to be treated: as an artist with a story worth telling, not a product demo with a human prop. Character-driven, unhurried for a :30, with a genuine arc.

Written, directed, shot, and edited entirely solo. Won the contest. Broadcast nationally during the Indy 500. Proof that a one-person crew with a clear idea can outperform a room full of people with no idea.
